Happy Easter!

It's been such a nice weekend out here, the perfect way to ring in spring. We took the kids for a little hike in the Open Space yesterday, with Allison on foot and Thomas in the backpack. She did pretty well for the first quarter mile or so, considering it was uphill. Then we took turns carrying her (ok, Paul carried her and I hefted Mr. T, the gargantuan 13 month old). It was so nice to be out...no mud and not too hot!

The Easter Bunny was kind to Allison and Thomas, bringing all kinds of new toys and goodies. Allison had a great time finding the eggs that were carefully hidden in the backyard at Mom and Dad's. We also had a nice brunch followed by the requested Bunny Cake. Allison was supposed to try a little bit of each item- ham, potatoes, green beans, and salad- before she could have some cake, but you can imagine how miniscule those bites actually were. She ended up not being able to eat much more than a couple of nibbles of that, though, as she was pretty full from the jelly beans she'd been sneaking into her mouth all morning. Oh well, that's what days like this are for! Here are a few pictures from the festivities. The family pic is the best one we could get. Maybe someday they'll both be smiling at the camera for our family picture!
